Fulfillment Experience Associate (NYC) engages the public in public schools by giving people a simple, accountable, and personal way to address educational inequity. In this clip, board member Stephen Colbert tells the organization’s story.

Who we are:

The Operations Team at delivers on our organizational mission.  We work directly with teachers, donors, and vendors to enable an effective, streamlined user experience, while collaborating daily with other teams to keep our programs running smoothly.

As a key team within Operations, Project Fulfillment is responsible for:

  • Building scalable processes to ensure funded projects are fulfilled and materials are delivered to teachers without delay
  • Developing external relationships to drive first-rate supplier performance, pricing, and partnerships

What you’ll do:

  • Learn the inner-workings of our project fulfillment process and support all aspects of fulfillment including: payment reconciliation, online ordering, vendor performance analysis, timely payments, delivery transparency and more.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to resolve fulfillment related project questions for both teachers and vendors while providing customer insights into how we can continue to improve our customer experience.
  • Advocate for our teachers and vendors to constantly improve and innovate on our current fulfillment experience.
  • Identify patterns and recurring customer issues to drive process improvements related to the teacher experience.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives strengthening our mission.
  • Actively contribute to building and maintaining our team culture, which includes a positive and constructive work environment.


Our ideal candidate is:

  • Tech savvy, comfortable in online environment, and willing to learn new programs.
  • Analytical with strong data management, research, and presentation skills.
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in fulfillment, purchasing materials, event planning, customer service, or comparable experience required.
  • An exceptional communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver; you’re often praised for your organization and attention to detail.
  • Team oriented and believe that a successful day is best reflected by accomplishing a collective goal.
  • Passionate about sharing new ideas that will help to offer better self-help to teachers and improve our fulfillment process.
  • Action oriented; you have no problem checking off items from your to-do list and are ready to help others when they need it without being directed to do so.
  • Innovative and process oriented; you’re ready to help generate new ideas to boost productivity.
  • Flexible when needs change and can take a moment to laugh and enjoy the moment when good things are happening.
  • Curious, creative, and open to sharing and learning from mistakes.
