Team Overview

Teachers at three-quarters of all the public schools in the U.S. have created classroom project requests on The Advocacy and Public Partnerships Team works to establish deep and mutually beneficial relationships with school districts across the country, ensuring district administrators have the information they need to help teachers in their district secure classroom resources through

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

Be an ambassador to school districts

  • Build relationships with superintendents, their chiefs of staff, grants officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Officers, communications teams, auditors, and other school district officials
  • Work with school districts to shape how can act as a tool to support their strategic priorities. Encourage school districts to share opportunities with their teachers.
  • Work with school districts on fundraising policies that impact teachers’ usage of crowdfunding sites, with an eye toward sharing the accountability and safeguards has in place for school districts

Work with partners to raise awareness of with district administrations

  • Build and manage relationships with education associations to create and share content related to teacher crowdfunding
  • Attend education-focused conferences to meet school district officials and speak on behalf of

Play a role in team administration and management

  • Manage one full-time staff member on the Advocacy and Public Partnerships team

  • You’re a great writer and communicator, because even the simplest email tells a story.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • College degree required.

Work Demands

  • Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities approximately three to four times per month

Compensation and Benefits offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes 100% employer paid health, dental, and vision coverage; a matching 401k plan (up to 5% of base salary); and annual professional development stipend, and 5 weeks paid vacation plus national holidays.
